Royal Mail continued strike action

Royal Mail continued strike action

Posted by Chantal Gagnon on

Royal Mail has been on strike since August this year (2022). The Members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) have been working towards gaining a pay rise that is in line with the current rates of inflation.
Socolo uses Royal Mail as it currently is the cheapest option for our customers and is quite speedy, reliable and flexible.
As the strike action continues and as we get closer to the gifting season, parcels delivered through Royal Mail are arriving slower to our customers. Currently, we are getting emails from customers that have received parcels 2 weeks after the parcel had been sent and we expect the delivery time to continue to grow as the strike continues in November and with Black Friday and the gifting and card season on the horizon.
Socolo would like to continue offering Royal Mail to our customers, as it is the cheapest option, but are also offering DHL as an option for a speedy and tracked delivery. We ask you to please be patient with your orders and to please buy as far in advance as possible. It saddens us to say that Socolo can no longer offer you the speedy delivery times you are used to, but we will continue to offer you the best service possible. We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.
