Adult Neurodivergent Online Communities

Posted by Chantal Gagnon on

Neurodivergent online communities have been growing in popularity over the past few years. These communities are safe spaces for individuals who have neurodivergence. In these online communities, neurodivergent individuals can connect with others who share similar experiences, challenges, and strengths, and receive practical and emotional support.

Exceptional Individuals

They provide consulting, recruitment and employment support to employers and individuals with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and autism. They aim to create understanding, opportunities and an inclusive culture for neurodivergent individuals everywhere.

ADHD Babes

A support group for Black women and Black non-binary people of African-Caribbean descent with ADHD.

(Un)masked

An online community that provides a safe space full of resources and support for autism, ADHD and neurodivergent busy brains.

I am Paying Attention

Online community for people with ADHD and Autism

Dyslexia in Adults

An online community for dyslexic adults called The Hive.

My Dyslexia

A platform to connect and inspire a diverse community of unashamedly dyslexic people.

Girls Interrupting

A dyspraxic community for women.

I am sure there are many fantastic communities that I have missed. Please share communities in the comments and let's grow this resource list together.

  • Waltham Forest Dyslexia Association (WFDA) fantastic group. They run the Next Step Programme, monthly adult meet ups, do assessments etc. Really supportive group and a place where you can connect with like-minded, different thinking adults! :)
